Facebook Fan Pages are fun, free and can be very powerful marketing tools.  They are the only pages on Facebook that can be viewed outside of the Facebook community.  Because of this, they can function much like a website.  You can even get your own personal shortened username to make it easy to send people to your Fan Page domain.

With Facebook Markup Language (FBML) you can create some very dynamic Tab pages to show your visitors what you have to offer.  And you choose which Tab opens when a visitor is a non-fan of your Page. (more…)

Opinions are running rampant with this question.  You’ll find people who love it and can’t seem to live without it and those who claim Twitter is nothing but a big time eater.  Many artists I talk to don’t even want to know what it is. “Just let me do my art!”

And yes, for artists, doing art is your number one priority.  But then, there is the marketing side of your business.
