What is it?
ISMA is an organization with a mission of connecting, engaging and educating members on social media around the world to advance the knowledge, skills, and integrity of the social media profession.
There are three levels of membership you can choose from; basic, premium, and platinum with various benefits for each. You can register to become a member on the new ISMA website.
Why is This Important?
Social Media or Web 2.0, as it is sometimes called, is growing faster than any one person is able to keep up with. Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon, Squidoo, U-Tube, LinkedIn, and scores of other sites are all part of the Social Media Networking craze where millions of people are spending more time connecting with each other.
Because of the speed of this growth there hasn’t been any standards set in industry. People haven’t known where to go for training or who to trust in educating them in the matters of social media. The need for such an organization has finally been answered.

Available Training
